Privacy Policy

Wentory turns your photos and words into story pages. Your stories and photos are yours — this page explains plainly what we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use these to create and identify your account. We never see your Google password.
- Your stories. The descriptions you type, the answers you tap, and the story pages Wentory generates for you.
- Your photos. Photos you upload are stored so your story pages can show them. We read photo metadata (date taken and GPS location, when present) solely to organize your story's timeline and places.
- Basic usage. View counts on published stories. We don't run advertising trackers.
How your content is used
- Your descriptions and photo metadata are sent to AI services (Anthropic, and Google or Replicate for preview images) to generate your story text and preview images. These providers process the content to produce your story and do not use it to advertise to you.
- We never sell your data, and we never share your photos or stories with anyone except as needed to show them to the people you share them with.
Sharing and visibility
- A story is visible to others only after you publish it. A published story can be read by anyone who has its link.
- Unpublished drafts are visible only to you.
Storage and security
- Stories and account data are stored with Supabase (EU region). Photos are stored with Cloudflare. Both encrypt data in transit.
- Access to your account requires signing in through Google.
Your choices
- You can unpublish or delete your stories at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by emailing hello@wentory.com. We'll do it promptly.
Cookies
Wentory uses only what's needed to keep you signed in (authentication tokens stored in your browser). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
Wentory is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. Photos of your family that you upload to your own stories remain under your control.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll note it here with a new date.
